CATWHISPERER 2012 - 2013 KITTENS AVAILABLE
Below are the kittens available for the year 2012 to 2013. We've got wonderful colors like Blue /Black&White/Brown tabby and Calico this round :) I try to concentrate in these colors as they are very striking in photographs which makes me feel happy whenever i see their pictures. Petting is more meaningful when we keep the memories in an album and share the joy with others. Enjoy !

The Truth about Pet food
Most of you remember the recall of melamine tainted powdered milk in china 2008! Do u know an outbreak of Pets food recalled, early sign, in 2007 is due to melamine too.Cat should live 30 yrs but why they die half as early now?

Unlukily, most Malaysia distributors/petshops dont sell more than the few variety.
Reasons
* Lack of Nutricions & Melamine tainted pet food ( Wheat/ rice Gluten)

* Excess carbohydrates are stored as fat, good fat consumed is utilized to produce energy
* Wild cats do not eat grains or vegetables. They need Taurin.
* Cats are more susceptible to Salmonella bacteria (which cause "food poisoning" and diarrhea)
than dogs, and raw chicken or turkey (and eggs) often have some Salmonella present.
* When a cat eats only dry cat foods, it may have to obtain 95% or more of its water
requirement from drinking water.

Guinea Pig...Closest to Cat somehow!
I didnt like guinea pig at all... i used to feel disgusted when i see them because they just looked so much like those ugly and dirty mouse. Not until one time, some looking for trouble kids came round and ask me to look after them for awhile. I realized.. i could be wrong. Infact, i started to fall love with them.

1. They are shy and mostly behave like a slow cooker who will be very passionte over a longer
period of time.
2. They Squick..... and make sounds just like a cat when they see someone near by ( familiar people).
3. They wet themselves when they drink. A cat wet its undercoat and purposely flip the drinking bowl
over to create attention
4. They Purrr by Burrrrr... when they feel comfortable, especially after bath.
5. They would be so happy and glid your hand if you have a treat!
* This is not research done by behavior research professionals but my close observation.

Pet Travel or Not?
Pet travel by cargo is always an issue to be considered by pets'owner as moving pets by air has certain risk to bear. Mostly, pets fatality are caused by two reasons; extreme whaether (Heat) and stress. Sometimes, it is just so unpredictable to how it will turn out. I have been utilizing the only pet cargo airline in Malaysia for traveling pet. I have no other choice regardless of any criticism of the service.
However, even a developed and advance country operated airline like USA, encountered death for shipping pets. Report from Department of Transportation US found that more pets died on Delta flights in 2011 than on any other airline.
The airline now refuse to transport:-
i) English and French Bull dog because snub-nosed breeds' respiratory problems.
ii) animals which exhibit signs of injury, distress, or are demonstrating efforts to escape and that reserves the right to refuse pets as checked baggage if the health of the animal is in question and/or if the animal's health may be jeopardized by the extreme conditions.
iii) pets checked as baggage in summer in order to avoid exposing them to extreme heat in the cargo hold.
Delta is not the only airline having a problem transporting pets. Last year, five pets died on American Airlines, four on Alaska Airlines, three on continental, and two each on Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines, according to the report
Delta spokeswoman Mary Ryan told ABC News that pets "will now have a dedicated staff and temperature-controlled vans instead of the inhospitable baggage compartment," which will "lead to a better experience for pets."
This is so ridiculous... common sense.. temperature controlled is the main point!!! What took you so long to learn? How i wish all other major airline would start to realize it.

Pet weighing in at twenty pounds or under (including the carrier), will pretty much assured a spot in the lap of pressurized compartment. Thats where my cats are. It will be great to have a specialized PET AIRLINE such as PET AIRWAYs and JETBLUE
I guess the best way is to do as what the Humane Society recommended " Not transporting pets by air unless absolutely necessary, and bringing small pets with you into the passenger seat whenever possible.
